This is a relatively easy hike. It crawls along the eastern side of the mountain, opposite of which are several scenic overlooks. Still, it is a peaceful trail, offering at least one outlook about a mile or 2 in. At this rocky outlook, the trail heads sharply to the right. Note, if you dive into the woods instead of heading to the right, there is an established campsite. There is usually water available around mile 2.
